At Qaracter, we are looking for a Java Developer to join a strategic banking project, working on critical systems in a demanding and highly technical environment. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong academic background in Java who enjoy working close to production environments and complex batch processes.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Participate in the design, development, and support of banking solutions
• Work with batch scheduling and job automation using Control-M
• Create and maintain Shell scripts for automation and operational support
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an agile or structured delivery environment
• Support deployments, incidents, and continuous improvements
• Work onsite with the client 2 days per week, fostering close collaboration

Mandatory Requirements

• Advanced Java level
• Strong experience with Spring Boot
• Hands‑on experience with Shell scripting
• Experience working with Control‑M
• Availability to work 2 days onsite at the client’s location

Nice to Have

• Experience with Struts
• Experience with Hibernate
• Previous exposure to banking or financial systems
