IPS is an international company with in-house Engineering and specialized services across Project Management for industries, Automation and Architecture. EPCM expertise, more than 10 countries around the globe but an entrepreneurial and teambuilding mindset.

We are looking for a Project Manager in our office in Madrid, Spain. The project engineer defines technical solutions and organizes technical alignment on a variety of equipment, facilities, utilities, components, products, and systems for a diverse client base of manufacturers. He / she maintains and oversees part of / the complete project process; prepares status reports and delivers the documentation on schedule.

You will join the Buildings unit, responsible for managing EPCM building projects within the Real Estate sector. Our portfolio includes diverse projects across categories such as residential, hospitality, office, industrial & logistics, education, and flex-living.

Currently, we are working on projects such as the Velaya residential development in southern Spain, the expansion of a private educational campus in Brussels, the development of logistics warehouses in northern Spain, as well as several office and fit-out projects in Madrid and Barcelona.

Role

As Project Engineer of IPS, you will have the responsibility for the planning and management in a wide range of packages and / or complete projects, ranging from small improvements to large projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate engineering activities during all project phases: conceptual, basic and detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Manage and ensure the timely delivery of engineering packages and interfaces with other disciplines (civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical).
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans in coordination with project management.
  • Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and documentation prepared by junior engineers and subcontractors.
  • Conduct or support technical and commercial vendor evaluations and procurement activities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during site construction and commissioning, ensuring compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of progress reports, risk assessments, and change management documentation.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and trainees.
Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • Degree or master’s in industrial engineering, civil engineering or Technical Architect.
  • 3-5 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Experience on the complete life cycle of a civil project: master planning, feasibility, permitting, civil works and main infrastructure needs, contracting and construction management and supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with appropriate prioritization.
  • Competences in MS Office, office package, BIM and AI.
  • Languages: Spanish, English and French. Other languages are a plus.
