A leading technology company based in Usúrbil, Spain is searching for an experienced HR People Partner. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of HR experience, particularly in the manufacturing sector. Responsibilities include providing HR support, managing employee relations, overseeing payroll processes and ensuring compliance with Basque labor laws. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with knowledge of Basque a plus.

The Impact You'll Make

Do you enjoy collaborating with people at all levels to make HR processes work smoothly? Do you feel comfortable finding solutions independently and supporting colleagues and stakeholders? Then this is the role for you!

For the Danfoss Power Solutions segment, at our Usurbil (San Sebastian) site, we are looking for an HR People Partner to support the entire HR function, implement policies and procedures, and provide practical guidance to managers and employees.

You will work closely with site leadership and stakeholders, bringing clarity and consistency to people-related processes and sharing your experience and perspective. You will play a key role in facilitating communication between teams and functions and act as the main point of contact between HQ guidelines and local regulations, ensuring that requests are handled effectively and in compliance.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide hands-on HR support to the plant’s management teams and employees, ensuring smooth daily operations and consistent HR experience.
  • Act as the main point of contact for site managers and employees, advising on HR policies, procedures, and compliance with global, regional, and local regulations.
  • Serve as the bridge between the site and HQ, ensuring that initiatives and requests from the Group are implemented effectively and in line with local laws.
  • Support employee relations at the site by addressing concerns, investigating issues, managing relations with unions, and promoting compliance with labor regulations.
  • Provide operational support in payroll processes, including data accuracy, timely processing, and alignment with legal requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate HR activities for the site independently, implementing change management initiatives in line with global and regional HR guidelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at the site to ensure HR processes are working effectively and practically.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, safeguard data confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
What We're Looking For
  • Academic background in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology or a related field.
  • Over 6 years of experience in HR roles, preferably in medium-sized, international companies operating in the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Basque labor laws, with experience managing employee relations and union interactions at the plant level.
  • Hands-on experience in core HR activities, including payroll processes, data management, HRIS systems, training, and recruiting (particularly blue-collar, including through agencies).
  • Ability to independently coordinate plant-level HR activities in line with global and regional HR guidelines, ensuring compliance and effective implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization, particularly in a plant environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with autonomy in managing HR initiatives for the plant.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Spanish (written and spoken). It would be an advantage to have knowledge of Basque (Euskara), however not a requirement.
