Job Description

At Luxe Talent, International Consultancy in Recruitment and Training, specialized in Fashion, Luxury, Retail, and FMCG, we are currently seeking, on behalf of one of our clients — an international brand with a HQ in London — a Head of Buying to join their team.

Our recruitment and training consultancy works with various firms in the Luxury, Premium, and High Premium sectors across Europe, with offices in Barcelona, London, Amsterdam, Madrid, Paris, Milan, and Berlin.

The Head of Buying & Planning leads the creative vision, seasonal collections, and brand identity. This role transforms global trends into commercially relevant collections with the Creative Teams across different categories, while building and developing a high-performing team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assortment Strategy: Lead the full product planning process, ensuring the range reflects the company’s positioning, customer expectations, and commercial goals.
  • Innovation & Growth: Identify new opportunities through emerging trends, untapped categories, and core brand strengths to drive differentiation and long-term growth.
  • Commercial Optimization: Build a balanced, relevant, and profitable assortment across segments, price levels, and key markets.
  • Execution & Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end development and delivery process, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with business targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with key internal teams across product, marketing, planning, and operations to deliver a cohesive and customer-focused offer.
  • Leadership & Culture: Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance environment that empowers creativity, accountability, and data-driven decision making.
  • Strategic Implementation: Translate strategic direction into clear seasonal plans, frameworks, and product guidelines that enable precise execution.
  • Insight-Led Decision Making: Use consumer and market insights to anticipate shifts, guide product evolution, and inform commercial priorities.
  • Agility & Responsiveness: Adapt quickly to changing business dynamics, using real-time feedback and performance data to refine strategies and capture opportunity.
