Defensive / Offensive Cybersecurity Lead

This role will set a vision and define a compelling roadmap to build a fit-for-purpose defensive & offensive services portfolio, aimed at monitoring and responding to security events, and delivering measurable outcomes.

The role involves developing innovative solutions to enhance the detection and remediation of cyber events, validating requirements and services with HIS stakeholders, developing metrics, and establishing an agile experimentation framework in partnership with the cyber security team to evaluate the effectiveness of our tools and processes.

The lead will oversee financial aspects, support internal and external security audits, and report to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supervising and managing the Global Security Operations Center (SOC)
  2. Overseeing penetration testing and vulnerability management teams
  3. Planning for hiring and training team members in defensive and offensive security
  4. Developing and integrating crisis management plans as needed
  5. Creating reports and dashboards to monitor service performance and effectiveness
  6. Designing and executing periodic tabletop exercises to test incident response plans
  7. Managing vulnerabilities across IT services through continuous identification, assessment, reporting, and remediation
  8. Preparing and executing comprehensive, risk-based penetration testing plans to assess security controls' adherence to policies, standards, and industry best practices
  9. Maintaining knowledge of multiple SIEM solutions, including QRadar, Splunk, and Microsoft Sentinel

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is a plus
