For REWE digital Spain, a team of almost 40 colleagues, subsidiary of REWE Group, located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga we are looking for a Full stack Developer + AI interest.

They will join the DOIT: the Digital Office IT is a combination of products that aim to provide REWE Group colleagues with an ideal user experience in all matters and questions relating to office IT.

We are responsible for providing highly scaled solutions for as many employees as possible and offering teams the opportunity to work on projects and topics that are sometimes highly experimental and not necessarily scalable.

As the central solution provider for information and telecommunications systems we plan, develop, configure, and operate efficient systems and applications for the REWE Group, one of the leading trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europe with around 390,000 employees. Our team of more than 2,200 IT specialists sets standards for IT implementation in the retail industry and develops new technologies for the sector.

As an Experienced Full Stack Developer with interest in AI or willing to learn, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining complex applications. You will leverage your expertise to implement high-quality software solutions and collaborate effectively with team members across the globe.

What you will do

• This role is pivotal in supporting the evolution of our application, ensuring it meets current and future business needs
• Design, programming, quality assurance and documentation of the code
• Depending on the product environment, use the back- or front-end technology
• Code responsible from the very beginning until production environment
• Engage in agile methodology practices such as SCRUM or Kanban
• Work closely together with an agile German product team (English language)

What you will bring

• Degree in Computer Sciences or related field
• Several years of experience in JAVA, Angular, GCP Cloud and Kubernetes · Experience with integration with other application/products with KAFKA, JSON, REST
• Good knowledge of GIT, GitHub, BootStrap, Swagger, Spring
• Proven experience in Full Stack Development with a focus on the above technologies.
• Interested or experienced in being part of agile teams and some years of practical experience within the IT development in modern technologies and willing to learn AI with Google AI.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and starving to keep learning and touching new languages/frameworks
• Willingness to travel sometimes to Germany (Cologne).
• Holistic understanding of quality assurance in all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Strong skills in agile collaboration and excellent communication abilities in English. German is a plus.
• You live in Spain and you have a valid work permit/ VISA (without sponsorship)
