Full-Stack Engineer (Remote – South America)

Engagement: Independent Contractor
Schedule: U.S. Business Hours (synchronous + open to working on weekends rather than Monday/Tuesday for better schedule overlap)

Salary: $3500-$4500 USD/month - based on experience

About the Opportunity

Interested in working on a green-field project with the opportunity to build a new SaaS platform from scratch? We are seeking a highly capable Full-Stack Engineer who can independently develop a platform from end-to-end. You will collaborate closely with Co-Founders to a ship high-traction software from scratch - zero-to-one - building with C#, .NET, React and TypeScript.

Who You’ll Work With

A sharp, complementary founding duo:

• Technical Lead – 5+ years at Microsoft & Citadel, building production-grade systems
• Business Lead – Mega-fund VC with deep SaaS experience in scaling, GTM, and strategy

What You’ll Do

Backend (Primary)

• Build new backend services and APIs using C# and .NET
• Design and architect scalable system components, data models, and API contracts
• Setup and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Build cloud-first infrastructure with containerization and orchestration
• Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability

Frontend (Secondary)

• Build feature-rich, responsive web interfaces using React + TypeScript
• Integrate frontend and backend systems end-to-end
• Translate user needs into practical solutions using a product-first mindset

Engineering Practices

• Act like an owner - we are building a quality system from the ground-up
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical scoping
• Surface issues early and loudly - propose solutions, and help improve the final product

At least 3+ years of experience in software development/engineering

Strong backend development experience (C#, .NET preferred or Java)

Working knowledge of frontend development in React and TypeScript

Experience building and maintaining production web applications.

Solid understanding of modern web architecture (APIs, state management, component design)

Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills (C1 level or higher).

Comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving startup environments

Bachelor Degree or higher in a technical field such as engineering (summa, magna or cum laude and/or Academic Scholar from a reputable college preferred)

Preferred Backgrounds:

• Computer Science, Software Engineering (degree or equivalent experience).
• Experience in SaaS, startups, or product-led engineering teams.
• Portfolio demonstrating shipped front-end and back-end features.
• Familiarity with cloud services, CI/CD, or testing frameworks.
• Completed advanced coursework in algorithms, systems, or software architecture.
