Looking for an experienced Financial Controller to work for a unique property investment client, based in Spain.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the finance department’s daily operations to ensure efficient and accurate financial management.
2. Manage the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and board reports.
3. Compare actual results to budgets, analyse variances, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
4. This position oversees the treasury function, including cash flow management and the investment of surplus funds.
5. Work closely with the Finance Director to deliver reports, analyse findings, and identify potential risk areas.
6. Manage and maintain relationships with external banks and financial institutions.
7. Maintain and document accounting procedures and policies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
8. Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning.
9. Resolve complex technical accounting issues to ensure accurate financial reporting.
10. Maintain strong relationships with external auditors and banks to facilitate audits and financial transactions.
11. Oversee financial systems and manage external providers for upgrades and maintenance.
12. Mentor and develop finance staff to build a strong and capable finance team.

Qualifications:

1. CPA / ACA / ACCA Qualified, or equivalent.
2. Strong written and verbal communication abilities in English.
3. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting packages.
