A leading packaging solutions provider is looking for a Senior Field Service Engineer in Barcelona. You will be responsible for installing and commissioning equipment, troubleshooting issues in the field, and preparing service reports. Qualified candidates should have a relevant degree and experience with machinery, particularly flexible packaging. The role requires good communication skills in English and willingness to travel globally.

Formación

• Intermediate or higher degree in Mechanics, Electrical, or Electronics.
• Experience with flexible packaging machinery is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel globally.

Responsabilidades

• Installation and commissioning of SIG equipment worldwide.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns using test instruments.
• Prepare comprehensive service reports and expense reports.

Conocimientos

Experience with machinery

Good communication skills in English

Knowledge in Electromechanics

Educación

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of Bossar (SIG) equipment worldwide.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical breakdowns on installed machines, using test instruments and customer descriptions.
• Develop small PLC program modifications.
• Prepare comprehensive service reports, timesheets, and expense reports accurately and promptly.
• Perform updates and preventive / corrective maintenance at customer sites, participate in SAT after upgrades or modifications.
• Support customer technical issues remotely when not traveling.
• Develop technical documentation.
• Support machine assembly in the workshop if necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

• Intermediate or higher degree in Mechanics, Electrical, or Electronics.
• Experience with machinery, preferably with flexible packaging machinery.
• Knowledge in Electromechanics; electronic programming skills are a plus.
• Good communication skills in English (minimum intermediate level).
• Willingness and ability to travel globally.
