An international diagnostics leader is seeking an Iberia Field Application Specialist based in Madrid or nearby to provide technical support, customer training, and troubleshooting for their products. This role involves ensuring customer satisfaction through continuous follow-up and the promotion of teamwork. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in microbiology or biology, with experience in pharmaceutical microbiology and excellent communication skills. Travel within the Iberian Peninsula is expected.

Formación

  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical microbiology or microbiology contract laboratory.
  • Knowledge of GMP quality standards and regulations.
  • Fluency in English required; Portuguese will be a plus.

As Iberia Field Application Specialist role specialized in our Industry products (Pharma Quality Control Business), you will provide technical support, customer training, troubleshooting and consultation to internal and external customers for the implementation and maintenance of bioMérieux solutions. Moreover, you will coordinate efforts with other cross-functional departments to deliver world-class customer service and support through the promotion of teamwork and cooperation spirit.

What will be your mission?
  • Coordinate and provide technical ongoing support to bioMérieux systems and reagents: pre-installation, technical installation, qualification, validation, configuration, connection, training on customer site and troubleshooting.
  • Provide consistent follow up of the installed base to ensure customer satisfaction and meet key performance indicators.
  • Participate in income generation initiatives by promoting value-added products and services, developing, and building customer relationships that result in customer loyalty, retention, renewal, and positive referrals.
  • Identify internal and external customer training needs, development of documentation and implementation plans, and successful execution based on established timelines.
  • Accomplish with quality, legal, and ethical standards as well as company policies.
Who are you?
  • Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, or related (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience working in a pharmaceutical microbiology or microbiology contract laboratory with knowledge of GMP quality standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge in routine Pharmaceutical quality control methods and automated solutions will be a plus (identification, endotoxin testing, mycoplasma testing, environmental control, EM software).
  • Knowledge and experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing processes (bioproduction, innovative therapies) will be a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Customer & business oriented.
  • Ability to manage problems efficiently.
  • Teamwork and autonomy to work alone.
  • Software skills.
  • English fluency required; Portuguese language will be a plus.

Role based preferably in Madrid or in the Eastern region of the Iberian Peninsula (near to Barcelona) with availability to travel throughout the Iberian Peninsula (if needed) and abroad for training or specific projects (approx. 40%).
