External Operations Quality Assurance Manager

At Coty, we are recruiting an External Operations Quality Assurance Manager to join our office in Barcelona. This role involves 20% travel across Europe.

Responsibilities

As our External Operations Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring third-party manufacturer compliance with Coty quality requirements and cosmetic regulations. You will deliver goals aligned with our strategy, liaise actively with ExO leaders to understand and support business needs, and drive continuous improvement within the organization. Additionally, you will manage and coach direct reports to ensure process adherence and growth.

Your main focus:
  • Deploy and reinforce quality procedures and strategies to TPMs, improving quality processes and standards.
  • Ensure products manufactured at TPMs meet Coty specifications, quality protocols, and requirements.
  • Assess the quality and GMP compliance of TPMs to meet Coty standards and business needs.
  • Lead the global TPM qualification program, including onboarding new TPMs and sites.
  • Prepare and adhere to audit plans, conduct audits, coach TPMs, and build capability.
  • Monitor and improve TPM performance through KPIs, analyzing and reporting results, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ensure timely product releases and manage new initiatives, enforcing quality tools and requirements.
  • Standardize processes across TPMs and within ExO, coordinating with R&D, Marketing, QA, TechPack, and other departments.
  • Manage, report, and investigate product nonconformances and complaints, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and develop the team, monitor workload and performance.
  • Lead quality projects and maintain quality documentation.
  • Manage change processes and communicate risks or deviations to management.
  • Perform proactive gap analysis and trend identification, drafting strategies for quality improvement.

Candidate Profile (Coty Fit)

We seek a professional experienced in process management, stakeholder engagement, and quality solutions. The ideal candidate has:

  • A technical bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in quality management.
  • Over 10 years of deep knowledge in quality systems, GMP, QC, and industrial processes.
  • Experience as a GMP auditor and understanding of quality risks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to identify root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Effective people, program, and project management skills.
  • High accountability, independent working style, and adaptability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
  • Experience in the cosmetic industry is preferred.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
