An English teaching center in Vigo, Spain is seeking enthusiastic substitute teachers who enjoy working with children. The program focuses on fun, interactive learning without exams, requiring at least 6 months of teaching experience and native-level English fluency. Teachers will adapt lesson materials for small classes and engage with students creatively. Flexible shifts include weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings, with opportunities for summer camps and workshops.

Formación

Join Our Team at La Casita de Inglés !

At La Casita de Inglés, we believe that learning should be fun, creative, and inspiring!

We teach English to children through games, arts & crafts, music, theatre, yoga, baking, and more. Our goal is to create a playful, immersive environment where kids learn naturally while having a great time.

The lesson planning is already done for you, teachers simply adapt the provided materials to suit their groups and the theme of the week (Outer Space, Sports, Science, Food, Mindfulness, Music, Nature, etc.). We don’t do exams, instead, teachers complete short progress reports each trimester.

Classes are small and interactive, with a maximum of 8 students per group (occasionally up to 10 when make‑up lessons are needed).

Hours & Pay

Our program runs :

  • Monday to Friday : 17 : 30–19 : 30 (€15 / hour net)
  • Saturday mornings : 11 : 00–13 : 00 (€20 / hour net)

You don’t need to work every day, but we ask for a minimum of 2–3 shifts per week.

There are also opportunities to :
  • Work at our holiday and summer camps
  • Lead creative workshops based on your own hobbies or talents
  • Grow within the company, from teaching to management or curriculum development
Current Openings

We’re currently looking for substitute teachers who have availability during our class times mentioned above. Subs can cover classes, help at camps and workshops, and may be offered permanent shifts as they become available.

  • At least 6 months of professional experience teaching or working with children (not just babysitting or nannying)
  • A perfect native‑level English fluency and accent (or C2 English certification)
