A leading materials company in Barcelona is seeking a Logistics Specialist to ensure compliance and optimize the movement of goods across the EMEA region. The ideal candidate will have experience in international logistics and a degree in Supply Chain Management. Responsibilities include auditing fulfillment policies, managing trade compliance, and participating in supply chain projects. This role requires proficiency in ERP systems, data analysis, and fluency in English. Some travel may be required.

Formación

  • 3-5 years of experience in international logistics.
  • Customs & Logistics Certifications are beneficial.

Responsabilidades

  • Audit adherence to fulfillment policies that optimize the physical flow of goods.
  • Understand and communicate warehouse/inventory/distribution policies.
  • Act as tactical lead for logistics flows and supply chain policies.
  • Manage adherence to trade compliance policies.
  • Assist in custom clearance for inbound shipments.
  • Review freight costs to report opportunities to the global supply chain.
  • Participate in related Supply Chain projects.

Conocimientos

Proficiency in ERP warehouse management systems
Experience with freight audit and pay processes
Knowledge of customs administration systems
Skills in data analysis and performance metrics (Power BI)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Fluent in English; additional EU languages preferred

Educación

Degree or certifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field

Summary

The Logistics Specialist role is critical in ensuring the successful flow of goods into and out of the EU for Hyperion Materials and Technologies. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the compliant, cost effective and timely movement of goods inbound / outbound and across the EMEA region. This position supports the broader global supply chain strategy by educating and enforcing policies that ensure the optimal flow of goods for the region. In addition to physical flows this person will also assist in the management of our compliance with regional customs requirements, total freight costs and adherence to warehousing and distribution policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Audit adherence to fulfillment policies that optimize our physical flow of goods and SC reporting for the region, propose process improvements
  • Understand and communicate warehouse / inventory / distribution policies and routes with global suppliers internal and external
  • Act as tactical lead for logistics flows and supply chain policies for newly acquired entities, providing training on policies and procedures regionally
  • Manage adherence to trade compliance policies and processes via our restricted party screening tools and EMEA customs requirements
  • Assist in custom clearance and audit activities for inbound shipments and special trade programs as require
  • Review freight costs in Intelligent Audit to report opportunities to global supply chain and the sites, acting as a super user in our freight audit and pay system and reporting
  • Participate in other related Supply Chain projects as assigned
Qualifications

Education and / or Work Experience
  • Degree or certifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field
  • 3-5 Years of experience in international logistics
  • Customs & Logistics Certifications are beneficial
Technical Skills / Physical Requirements
  • Proficiency in ERP warehouse management systems
  • Experience with freight audit and pay processes
  • Knowledge of customs administration system Proteria or equivalent
  • Skills in data analysis and performance metrics (Power BI).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for generating reports and analyzing data
  • Fluent in English; additional EU languages preferred

  • Understanding of EU export and import regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Travel: Some travel required, 10% of the time
