Vodafone Group launched its new technological HUB in 2021, an international center of excellence dedicated to research and development of technical solutions, such as Secure Networks, 5G and 6G development, Open RAN, IoT, MPN & MEC and UCC for Vodafone Business, platforms and enterprise solutions.

For the role of Data Scientist we are looking for candidates with a broad range of skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver data science & gen AI solutions that drive value following best-practices and standards (revenue upturn, cost decrease and/or customer & employee engagement improvements)
• Build and deliver automations which will help digital transformation of stakeholders
• Partner with Product Manager & delivery teams within Shared Services to deliver analytics solutions & insight with a focus around following best-practices and standards
• Create, own and maintain reusable data science products and services that can be deployed across Vodafone
• Drive innovation by employing new analytical techniques, collaborating with wider Data & Analytics team

Qualifications

• Having hands on experience with:
• Programming languages like Python
• Standard Data Science stack like Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, etc.
• Data handling: SQL/BigQuery
• Cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.
• Understanding of analytical techniques and competencies (e.g. Machine Learning / statistical modelling / Gen AI solutions)
• Proven data analytics experience (data science, data analysis, data management)
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Experience with working across business and IT teams; ideally both on and off shore
• Software Development and Design skills
• Storytelling with data
