Una empresa global de tecnología está buscando un Ingeniero de Datos Senior para ser parte de su equipo en Barcelona. Este rol es crucial para diseñar y mantener infraestructuras de datos que apoyen decisiones empresariales más inteligentes. Se requiere más de 6 años de experiencia en la creación de tuberías de datos y una sólida experiencia en tecnologías en la nube. Se valorarán habilidades en SQL, Python y recursos de DevOps. La empresa promueve un ambiente colaborativo y de innovación.

Formación

• Más de 6 años de experiencia en la construcción de tuberías de datos modernas.
• Experiencia sólida en ingeniería de datos nativa de la nube.
• Habilidad avanzada en SQL y Python.

Responsabilidades

• Diseñar y construir tuberías de datos escalables utilizando tecnologías modernas.
• Liderar los esfuerzos de transformación de datos y asegurar la calidad de los mismos.
• Trabajar en estrecha colaboración con equipos técnicos y de negocio.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in creating and maintaining the data foundation that supports reporting, analytics, and AI / ML solutions across a global organization. You will design and build end-to-end data flows, ensuring that high-quality, reliable, and accessible data is always available where it matters most.

What you’ll do

• Build & Evolve the Data Platform
  • Design and implement scalable, future‑proof data pipelines using modern cloud technologies.
  • Support a wide range of use cases—from advanced analytics to real‑time data services.
• Champion Data Quality & Security
  • Lead data transformation efforts and embed quality, governance, and security best practices into everything you build.
  • Continuously monitor, optimise, and document data flows for reliability and transparency.
• Collaborate & Enable
  • Work closely with business and technical teams to translate needs into practical, scalable data solutions.
  • Support data product development and help stakeholders make informed decisions.
• Mentor & Innovate
  • Support junior engineers, share best practices, and help elevate the team’s engineering culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, CI / CD, and exploration of new tools.

What you bring

• 6+ years of experience building modern data pipelines (ETL / ELT).
• Strong expertise in cloud‑native data engineering (e.g., orchestration tools, lakehouse / lake storage, transformation frameworks).
• Advanced skills in SQL, Python, (Py)Spark.
• Ability to design maintainable, scalable data models.
• Solid understanding of data governance, quality frameworks, and security.
• Experience with DevOps, CI / CD, and IaC tooling.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with stakeholders in an agile environment.
• Bonus : experience with ERP data or manufacturing environments; mentoring experience.

About the team

You’ll be part of a global data team responsible for developing and maintaining the company‑wide data platform and data products. The team drives innovation, enhances data quality, ensures compliance, and promotes a data‑driven culture across the organization.
