Customer Demand Manager South Europe

About the role

The purpose of this role is to lead Demand Planning activities throughout the defined region to ensure a 2-3 year demand forecast. The Demand Manager acts as the key interface between Commercial teams and Supply Chain.

  • Translate sales and marketing plans into a sales demand plan in the forecasting system.
  • Build monthly forecasts using statistical tools and market information, focusing on the 4–24 months period.
  • Manage master data required for statistical forecasting (e.g., corrected history).
  • Select the most appropriate forecasting model per product and customer group.
  • Ensure all sales area managers and account managers update the forecast promptly.
  • Refine forecasts based on latest information daily.
  • Identify gaps between target and unconstrained demand plan.
  • Support the IBP process in collaboration with the BU IBP Lead.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and bias to meet targets.
  • Ensure forecasts are uploaded correctly for MRP execution.
  • Track KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy, Bias, Vulnerabilities, and Opportunities.
  • Lead a team of demand planners servicing the commercial units, including 2 in Spain and 1 in Italy.
  • Participate actively in the weekly S&OP process with Supply Planning.

About You

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or Science.
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in Demand Planning / Demand Management.
  • Analytical and able to work independently.
  • Business acumen; understands and acts upon internal and external customer requirements.
  • Stakeholder management skills across various functions and levels.
  • Strong coordination skills to prioritize and meet customer needs.
  • Excellent communication skills in internal and external stakeholder languages.
  • High proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • System skills: SAP, OMP, Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint.
