An international hospitality and real estate group in Madrid is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee financial reporting and accounting functions. The role includes supervising the accounting team, preparing financial statements, developing budgets, and managing audits. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 5-10 years of experience, with strong leadership skills, especially in the Spanish market. Proficiency in Spanish and English is required.

Formación

  • At least 3 years in a leadership role with experience within the Spanish Market.
  • Experience with financial reporting standards, audits, and compliance.

The Financial Manager will be overseeing the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. Its key duties include preparing financial statements, managing the accounting team, developing budgets and forecasts, enforcing internal controls, and acting as the liaison for external audits. This role will be responsible for leading and overseeing the accounting team in Spain.

Supervise day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger.

Prepare monthly fin package with full analysis of the results.

Manage cash flow planning, banking relationships, and liquidity needs.

Implement and maintain strong internal controls.

Implementing the company's ERP system Netsuite.

Prepare a yearly budget with coordination of all relevant departments.

Responsible for all audit, Tax and accounting issues of group companies.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; 5–10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role with experience within the Spanish Market.

Experience with financial reporting standards, audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements.

Experience with ERP systems and financial automation tools. Netsuite ERP Experience is an advantage.

Excellent command of Spanish & English.
