A leading insurance company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to guide our financial strategy and support our growth. As a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to our Co-CEOs, you will be responsible for ensuring long-term financial sustainability and scalability, aligning with our mission. This role requires a strategic thinker with practical execution skills, capable of driving financial strategy, optimizing performance, and making data-driven decisions to foster growth.

Mission: Ensure financial sustainability and scalability by leading and executing our financial strategy with a long-term vision, and driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy & Leadership: Define and implement the global financial strategy aligned with our growth objectives. Serve as a key advisor to the Co-CEOs and Executive Board. Promote a data- and results-oriented culture to pursue ambitious growth while maintaining financial stability and sustainability.
2. Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting: Manage financial planning processes with agility. Provide clear financial reporting to stakeholders. Oversee accounting, tax compliance, cash flow, and regulatory reporting.
3. Business Partnering & Scalability: Collaborate with product, marketing, operations, and growth teams to guide strategic decisions based on financial impact, efficiency, and ROI. Evaluate new business opportunities, optimize costs, automate processes, and enhance financial management.
4. Financial Operations & Controls: Oversee settlement and reconciliation processes with insurance carriers, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Manage monthly financial reconciliations and partner settlements.
5. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations. Develop a robust financial and operational risk management framework. Uphold integrity, ethics, and transparency across finance functions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of senior finance experience, preferably in scaleups, insurtechs, or digital-first companies.
• Proven expertise in financial analysis and strategic planning.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
• Analytical, proactive, and collaborative mindset with a global outlook.
• Ability to lead through uncertainty and build high-performing finance teams.

Schedule & Location:

Full-time, flexible hours (7.5 hours/day). 100% remote, with optional in-person visits in Barcelona.

Primary Location: Remote
