Lead Data Scientist Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our team and drive the development of machine learning pipelines. This role involves guiding the AI Engineering Team in designing, constructing, and maintaining robust data pipelines for multiple AI applications.

The successful candidate will oversee the data science project development lifecycle, from data analysis and model selection to developing proofs of concept and refining pipelines. They will also lead collaboration within the AI Engineering Team to maintain and optimize data pipelines, engineer scalable machine learning solutions, and guide strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, construct, and maintain machine learning pipelines for multiple AI applications.
• Oversee the data science project development lifecycle, including data analysis, model selection, and proof of concept development.
• Lead collaboration within the AI Engineering Team to maintain and optimize data pipelines.
• Engineer scalable machine learning solutions using modern modeling techniques and rigorous testing methodologies.
• Guide strategic decision-making by drawing meaningful insights from large datasets.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements :

• 7+ years of industry experience in data science or machine learning engineering.
• Expert-level programming skills in Python or another high-level language commonly used in machine learning.
• Expertise in NLP and Machine Learning frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with information retrieval techniques and structured data extraction from unstructured sources.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs for pre-processing, fine-tuning, and deploying models on cloud-based infrastructure.
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
