DP World is hiring a Business Development Director for Contract Logistics for our Cluster West in the European region. You will be responsible for growing the DP World business by winning new customers. This position requires managing a sales team and collaborating with various functions (Engineering, Operations, IT, Finance) across the organization and regions.
As the Business Development Director, you will play a leading role in Contract Logistics development in Iberia, focusing on verticals such as:
- Automotive, with experience in Fashion being an added value.
You will serve as the deputy for the Senior Director / VP of Commercial Contract Logistics – Cluster West in Iberia.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish long-term strategic relationships with prospects and clients, including at the executive level.
- Manage your sales team with a high degree of autonomy, supported by the organization.
- Develop and execute a territory plan to identify top opportunities and expand business to new accounts across multiple verticals.
- Generate leads and opportunities from the territory plan.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers at all levels within customer organizations.
- Understand customers' business strategies, operations, finances, and buying processes.
- Create custom solutions that deliver value to customers.
- Qualify and quantify growth opportunities.
- Leverage company resources (solution experts, industry experts, operations, executive support) to develop accounts.
- Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of opportunities, including their value and probability of success.
- Manage commercial relationships and support sales and contract negotiations.
- Follow the DP World solution selling process.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other regions on broader opportunities for key customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- At least 10 years of business development and industry experience in supply chain or logistics.
- Proven success in managing a sales team that consistently meets sales quotas.
- Experience with CRM and knowledge management tools.
- Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages (especially Portuguese) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel across Europe.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Enthusiastic personality with high energy levels.
