Responsibilities
- Be a member of the front office team as an Associate / Relationship Manager GCIB, pro-actively contributing to the management of customer relationships, responding to inquiries, monitoring and supporting related tasks and activities.
- Interact frequently with clients onsite, during meetings, conferences and seminars, working with internal and external stakeholders on high-profile transactions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and globally.
- Collaborate with Product Partners (e.g., Capital Markets, Structured Finance, Transaction Banking) and regional/local relationship managers across the MUFG network to manage portfolios or assume full relationship management responsibility for a client portfolio.
- Support the management of the group client relationship, including pipeline reporting, operational aspects, fee and asset management, internal reporting, and marketing activities.
- Work with Credit Risk and Compliance teams to collect required legal documents and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
- Act as a subject matter expert in Know Your Customer (KYC) and legal documents.
- Provide input into pre-screenings, application preparation and submission, including business rationale, returns, facility structure and related considerations.
- Assist in transaction execution, including facility documentation review.
- Prepare presentations and pitches for clients.
- Support MUFG’s ESG / Sustainable Financing objectives and market MUFG’s Global Network to clients in collaboration with MUFG network offices in multiple countries.
- Ensure all control requirements are fully complied with on a timely basis (CRM, KYC, compliance, monthly follow-ups, covenants, monitoring of due dates, and instruction handling).
- Ensure compliance with the Bank’s rules, policies, procedures and guidelines, along with regulatory and statutory requirements.
Qualifications
- University degree level (Business Administration, Economics, Law, Engineering) with specialized master's degrees valued.
- Experience in a similar function or relevant area for at least 3 years.
- Knowledge of departmental workflows and processes for Front Office products; familiarity with internal and external legislation and credit and market risk policies.
- Knowledge of automated database storage, processing, and desktop IT skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish; Portuguese and Italian are valued.
