Account Director – Spain (Madrid)
We’re seeking an Account Director – Spain to own and grow a portfolio of strategic clients, helping them navigate complex commercialization, medical, and digital transformation challenges. You’ll serve as a trusted partner for clients, lead cross-functional delivery teams, and drive measurable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of mid-to-large life sciences clients in Spain, serving as their strategic partner and primary point of contact.
- Develop and execute account growth plans to meet retention and revenue goals.
- Collaborate closely with internal experts in medical, commercial, and digital domains to deliver high-impact client solutions.
- Lead proposals, contract renewals, and negotiations with confidence and commercial insight.
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and client expectations are consistently met.
- Identify new opportunities across existing accounts through cross-selling and solution expansion.
- Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management to senior leadership.
- Stay informed about Spanish and EU life sciences trends, healthcare policy, and client market dynamics.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in account management, client services, or business development within life sciences, healthcare, consulting, or related sectors.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex client accounts and deliver commercial results.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Commercially astute, analytical, and comfortable working in matrix environments.
- Ability to travel within Spain and Europe as required.
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Madrid (or within reasonable distance).
Preferred Background
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical or biotech clients in commercialization, medical affairs, or digital transformation.
- Knowledge of EU or Spanish healthcare systems, regulatory environment, and market access challenges.
- Understanding of how technology and data analytics enable healthcare engagement.
