In this role, you will:

• Facilitate effective communication between the multiple business units and the BI department, ensuring relevant updates and news flow smoothly in both directions to align teams on priorities and data-driven decisions.
• Oversee and orchestrate the strategic roadmapping process, ensuring alignment with business goals while driving the long-term vision for the department.
• Lead sprint planning and ensure project timelines are adhered to, actively monitoring progress and coordinating efforts to keep projects aligned with department goals.
• Mentor and guide a team of five BI professionals, fostering professional development, collaboration, and a growth-oriented environment while aligning team goals with business objectives.
• Promote a self-service analytics culture through training, documentation, and proactive engagement with teams to ensure widespread use of BI tools and data-driven decision-making.
• Oversee design of dbt data models, optimizing for efficiency and ensuring scalability to meet business requirements.

This role is perfect for you if you bring...

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or in a similar analytical role, with at least 1 year of leadership experience
• Proven experience and proficiency in SQL
• Expertise in designing, building, and maintaining scalable dbt models, implementing best practices for data modeling, documentation, and version control to ensure efficiency and reliability
• Expertise in using BI tools such as Power BI & Tableau for complex data visualization and reporting
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and report creation

• Exceptional ability to navigate ambiguous, undocumented datasets, using strong data detective skills to identify anomalies, uncover patterns, and model the data in a way that makes it accessible and useful for business analysts
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of the underlying business processes that generate data within our systems
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes, automation, and optimizing data pipelines to support business operations and analytics

• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical data into actionable insights for diverse teams
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, with a strong emphasis on scoping and information gathering to ensure clear project requirements, timely delivery, and alignment with business objectives

• Knowledge of capital markets, finance, and/or investment management
• Knowledge of ERP systems and their application in financial processes
• Experience in working with Big Data assets (IoT data)
