To strengthen our Align/exocad Orthodontic team in Darmstadt, we are looking for a Software Engineer in Test.

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join our team and contribute to the development of world-renowned software products in Align Technology. The successful candidate will enhance auto-testing coverage for Web applications, C++ desktop applications, and AWS cloud applications using a Python-based testing automation framework, collaborating with multiple teams.

1. Design automated test cases
2. Refactor and support existing tests
3. Contribute to test frameworks, infrastructure
4. Create guides for testing automation tools and solutions
5. Drive and support CI/CD processes within teams
6. Collaborate with other application teams
7. Participate in meetings and project reviews
8. Assist in project releases to production

Essential:

• At least 3 years of experience in automation testing
• Strong Python skills
• Experience with Pytest
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, Page Object pattern
• Experience with Git/BitBucket
• Familiarity with Docker and Linux
• Understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Intermediate English proficiency
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Nice to have:

• Experience with tools like protobuf, attrs, allure, assertpy, sqlalchemy, elasticsearch-dsl, inject, bottle, Flask
• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes
• Experience with REST API testing
• Basic knowledge of Selenium WebDriver
• Familiarity with test-driven development methodologies
• Experience with Agile/Kanban methodologies
• Experience with Bamboo, Jenkins, JIRA, TM4J, Confluence
