(Junior) Sales Assistant in Chemical Distribution (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities:

• Qualify and manage incoming supplier and customer requests for our international chemical raw materials distribution business as part of our sales team in Hamburg.
• Forward interesting supplier requests to colleagues responsible for supplier development.
• Develop responsibilities in customer request management, including qualifying requests, creating offers, managing sampling and exports, and building long-term customer collaborations.
• Conduct calculations, negotiate offers verbally or in writing, and organize deliveries.
• Work closely with sales, business development, and marketing teams to improve our CRM tool (HubSpot), streamline processes, and drive automation based on your evaluations and feedback.
• Support your team with additional tasks and projects, such as creating sales-specific adaptations and training for our CRM tool.

Your profile:

• Successfully completed your commercial education as an industrial, freight forwarding, or foreign trade clerk (“Industriekaufmann”, “Speditionskaufmann”, or “Außenhandelskaufmann”), preferably in the chemical industry.
• Gained initial experience in sales, including creating calculations, conducting sales calls, negotiations, and preparing offers.
• Experience in cost and offer calculations, familiarity with taxes, Incoterms, and export modalities is beneficial.
• Eager to learn, question the status quo, and seek improvements.
• Digital affinity, ideally with experience using CRM or Lead Management Systems like HubSpot.
• Strong communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate target-group-oriented.
• Friendly, attentive, and self-confident demeanor.
