QuantumDiamonds is building the world’s first commercial quantum sensing tools for chip failure analysis. As a Physics Lab Technician, you’ll support our hardware and R&D teams in day-to-day lab operations, enabling the assembly, testing, and characterization of cutting-edge quantum sensing systems.
You’ll work hands-on with experimental setups involving lasers, optics, RF components, and diamond quantum sensors — ensuring precision, cleanliness, and reproducibility in every step. Your work helps turn prototypes into industrial-grade tools that redefine what’s possible in semiconductor testing.
Technical degree (e.g., Physics Lab Technician, CTA/PTA, Mechatronics Technician) or equivalent practical experience
Experience with optics, lasers or chemistry is a strong plus
Familiarity with laboratory measurement instruments and tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)
Hands-on mindset with high attention to detail and cleanliness
Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a dynamic R&D environment
Fluent in English
Founded in 2022 as a spin-off of TU Munich, QD leverages quantum sensors to rapidly capture three-dimensional current maps within multi-layer chips. Our 30-strong team of physicists, engineers, and data scientists works side by side with major semiconductor manufacturers, helping them in chip debugging and accelerating their yield analysis. Backed by top-tier deep tech investors, semiconductor experts, and strategic public programs, we have ensured long-term stability, shifting from breakthrough to scale - and shaping the next chapter in chip testing.
Picture this:
Manage and plan the production and testing of our diamond quantum sensors
Support the setup, maintenance, and calibration of lab equipment (optical tables, lasers, microscopes, RF electronics, etc.)
Assist in assembling and testing opto-electronic and mechanical components used in our sensor heads and systems
Prepare and execute measurement routines (e.g., fluorescence imaging, magnetic field scans) in collaboration with physicists and engineers
Ensure lab safety, cleanliness, and organization — including inventory management and procurement of supplies
Maintain detailed experimental documentation and support quality assurance processes
Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement of lab procedures
