We are seeking a Technical Software Development Lead to work with our development teams to continue to improve our web app.

Our tech stack consists of Python, React, TypeScript, AWS and GitHub.

You will be leading the tech team and responsible for the Cryptonary platform that delivers content to our global user base. Our platform is content delivery focused with a subscription based model.

• Manage a team of engineers and create, assign, delegate tasks.
• You will work across our entire stack to deliver high-quality, maintainable code.
• You will create clean but functional design and intuitive user interfaces
• You will take full ownership of projects and features from design to implementation and deployment.
• You will play a major role in planning & developing large-scale features that impact thousands of users.

• Experience in leading tech teams.
• Ability to lead day to day development and maintenance activities of the team.
• Strong player/coach who can help us deliver great products, grow autonomous engineers, and build effective teams
• Passion for solving complex business problems with a balance of technology and people
• Ability to articulate a long-term technical vision/mission and define the path for how we get there
• Ability to solve complicated technical problems and analyse tradeoffs between engineering teams and the business users
• Ability to demonstrate calm, rational, pragmatic decision making and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with building reliable systems that can scale
• Experience building configurable, extensible systems that can grow with the changing needs of the business.
• Research, create and evaluate technical solution alternatives for the business needs current and future.
• Collaborate with business and technical partners to identify and scope opportunities, identify risks, benefits and constraints.

• Proven experience as a technical lead, building world class solutions on a global scale.
• Expert in web technologies such as Python, Django Rest Framework, PostgreSQL, Celery, Redis
• Excellent fluency of ‘front-end’ technologies such as React JS, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS are essential.
• Passion for writing great, simple, clean, efficient code.
• Strong UX and design sensibilities.
• Knowledge/experience using cloud native development such as PCF, AWS, etc.
• Experience in relational database
• Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written – and strong relationship, collaboration skills and organisational skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies, frameworks and tools and support multiple concurrent activities and to interface with external / internal resources.
• Ability to deal with pressure situations without compromising the processes.
• Result oriented, self-driven and go-getter abilities.
• Great engineering skills and strong computer science fundamentals. Engineering related degrees are a plus, but not essential.
