Investment Manager – Private Equity (Zurich, German Speaker)

We are partnering with a fast-growing private investment firm headquartered in Zurich. The firm focuses on service-oriented businesses in the DACH region and select European markets, working alongside entrepreneurs and management teams to drive sustainable growth. With a strong emphasis on buy-&-build strategies, the Investment Manager will take a leading role in sourcing, executing, and growing portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation and execution of investment opportunities in DACH and select European markets (Benelux, Spain, UK, Poland).
- Drive end-to-end due diligence, including financial modelling, valuation, and risk assessment of SMEs (€20–100m revenues, profitable with positive cash flow).
- Partner with management teams and seasoned industry operators to accelerate strategic growth, operational improvements, and M&A expansion.
- Support buyout and succession solutions, ranging from majority acquisitions to full exits, with potential reinvestment by founders or management.
- Structure deals that allow entrepreneurial owners or managers to stay engaged and share in the upside.
- Prepare high-quality investment committee materials, conduct market and competitive analysis, and present recommendations to senior leadership.
Candidate Profile
- 6–8+ years of relevant experience in Private Equity
- Proven deal execution track record, from sourcing through diligence, structuring, and closing.
- Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Fluent in German and English; additional European languages a plus.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with excellent negotiation, structuring, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Willingness to be based in Zurich, with flexibility for travel across DACH/EU.
