Reporting to the Head of GTB Germany. The TFS has to provide Trade Finance solutions to the assigned portfolio of Corporate Clients.

About the job : About the role

Ensure the follow-up and development of existing business flows with BBVA branch clients.

Represent BBVA with corporate clients assuming the banker role with subsidiaries not covered by global Bankers.

Identify and generate new business opportunities with existing clients and expand the geographic reach of the customers relationships in coordination with the global bankers.

Visit and call on existing and prospect clients proactively accompanied by product specialists when required offering transactional products and services.

Monitor and check in coordination with global and local product specialists how the transaction services and products set up for a specific customer works.

Draft pitches and review legal documentation of agreements in collaboration with Legal CIB.

Negotiate deals renew credit lines and help the global bankers to renew financial programs.

Evaluate and assess current and potential returns and make pricing decisions in collaboration with the Pricing Specialist.

Manage account notifying the overrun to the affected customers and offering them different facilities to regularize debit positions.

Supervise and support the Middle Office with incidences that may occur.

Liaise and work alongside with other CIB front units in order to increase cross selling and CIB support units for the deal execution.

Register modify and update customers business opportunities timely and accurately in the in-house client management tools and data sources for pipeline and profitability reporting.

Acts as first line of defense and understand the Banks risk appetite while balancing business goals and objectives.

Understand the creditworthiness of each client register the proposal in the risk management tool and participate in different committees in order to defend credit proposals and get Risks approval.

Stay abreast of the specific regulatory and compliance framework that may be affected.

Understand and comply with all internal and external policies and procedures.

To offer to clients all the GTB products including : working capital solutions (factoring and supply chain finance) cash management documentary credits guarantees and standby letters of credit structured trade finance products.

Proactively follow up clients by identifying their needs and providing them with the most appropriate advice and solutions (Advisory approach).

Promote a sustainable approach to finance with clients in line with the banks strategy.

Requirements

College degree (preferably in Economics and Business Administration) CFA MBA MS or other specific Trade Finance training will be valued.

Relevant experience in a Trade Finance related activity.

Have a thorough understanding of the Trade Finance Products (Receivables Finance Letters of Credit Bonds Forfaiting Supply Chain Finance).

Experience in structured working capital finance (Inventory Finance Borrowing Base Prepayments structure).

Deep knowledge of the credit country & operational risks as well as the profitability involved in the transactions.

Understanding of the financial needs and flows of the clients.

Familiar with the German Trade Finance market.

Understanding of the world economy and financial situation.

Fluent in German and English. Spanish and other languages are a plus.

Strong influencing and negotiation skills.

Able to work under time pressure.
