We are looking for a Team Lead Engineering (m/f/x) to join and lead our Data Integrations Team. You will play a key role in developing the crucial abstraction layer between UP42 and our data providers, including the underlying data pipelines and data transformation processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of these integrations, bringing partner data seamlessly into the UP42 ecosystem. Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team of experienced software and data engineers, balancing hands-on technical contributions with people management to deliver high-impact features and improvements.

• Foster team collaboration and efficiency, and manage performance through feedback and development plans.

• Contribute to the Data Delivery and Data Platform architectures (Argo Workflows, Kubernetes, Terraform, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)) and ensure smooth application deployments and operations.

• Collaboratively shape the team\'s vision and roadmap in alignment with company objectives, driving continuous improvement through data-driven decisions.

• Ensure code quality and automation, keeping technical debt under control while contributing to continuous delivery and test-driven development and maintaining a secure, efficient, and reusable codebase (primarily in Python).

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software and API design, backend development (preferably Python), and first years experience of team leadership, including people management and development

• Embracing and promoting a “Stronger Together” mindset, focusing on teamwork, cohesion, and collective success over individual achievements

• Proven ability to deliver high-availability architectures with expertise in cloud computing (especially GCP), load balancing, and fault tolerance

• Strong time and risk management skills

• Ability to foster a collaborative learning environment that encourages mentorship and continuous technical growth

• Ability to balance strong technical skills with effective delegation and communication to lead and contribute to product development

• Fluency in English and the ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment
