ALSO is looking for a Staff Actuator Design Engineer to design the electromechanical actuators that mechanize critical functions of next generation light electric vehicles
What You Will Do
Design electromechanical actuators and motor systems for lightweight electric vehicles
Create CAD models and manufacturing instructions for mechanical components and assemblies
Work with electrical and firmware teams to integrate electronics and control systems
Develop validation plans and failure analysis with suppliers to ensure system reliability
Build and test prototypes to validate designs and iterate for optimal performance
What You Will Bring
Expert knowledge of motors, servo drives, sensors, and precision mechanical systems
Strong skills in MATLAB/Simulink modeling and simulation tools (Ansys, Abaqus, HyperWorks)
Programming experience in Python, C, and C++ for system integration and control
Advanced CAD proficiency (CATIA preferred) with GD&T and materials expertise
Experience integrating electronics with mechanical systems in automotive or similar applications
