ALSO is looking for a Staff Actuator Design Engineer to design the electromechanical actuators that mechanize critical functions of next generation light electric vehicles

What You Will Do

• Design electromechanical actuators and motor systems for lightweight electric vehicles

• Create CAD models and manufacturing instructions for mechanical components and assemblies

• Work with electrical and firmware teams to integrate electronics and control systems

• Develop validation plans and failure analysis with suppliers to ensure system reliability

• Build and test prototypes to validate designs and iterate for optimal performance

What You Will Bring

• Expert knowledge of motors, servo drives, sensors, and precision mechanical systems

• Strong skills in MATLAB/Simulink modeling and simulation tools (Ansys, Abaqus, HyperWorks)

• Programming experience in Python, C, and C++ for system integration and control

• Advanced CAD proficiency (CATIA preferred) with GD&T and materials expertise

• Experience integrating electronics with mechanical systems in automotive or similar applications
