Smart Manufacturing Consultant – Germany – Remote
German & English language fluency (B2 / C1 / C2 / Native) required.

Responsibilities
- Diagnostic assessments and define data-driven improvement strategies
- Lead Gemba-based workshops, 4M analysis, and stakeholder alignment sessions on-site or virtually to produce proposals serving as a guiding compass.
- Identify on-site issues, such as equipment management, productivity, quality, energy, waste, etc. through customer interviews and data analysis.
- Develop transformation roadmaps, benefit cases, and rollout strategies for customer manufacturing sites to realize top management KPIs.
- Drive specialized business development (pre-sales) activities for IT / OT technologies and services
- Proactively engage in marketing and pre-sales activities in collaboration with account sales and marketing teams to demonstrate domain expertise, generate, and win opportunities by securing customer confidence.
- Maximize customer engagement by securing repeat business and recurring revenue following consulting and implementation projects.
- Cooperation & communication with customers’ key stakeholders
- Work with IT-OT teams of customers to ensure that digital solutions are rooted in operational value.
- Create comprehensive fact-based reports, business cases, and executive presentations, and deliver them with impact.
- Collaboration with internal & external project teams during project planning and implementation
- Proactively engage from requirement discussion to full-scale implementation by working closely with IT / OT Architects, Solution Engineers, Data Scientists, Project Managers, Account Managers, and technology & services partners.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing operations, or industrial engineering with lean transformation experience in discrete manufacturing (Automotive, Food, Consumer goods, Electronics, Medical / Pharma, etc.)
- Consulting experience (internal or external) in continuous improvement or digital transformation operations.
- Experience working with or implementing MES, OEE, or plant digitization tools is a plus.
- Manufacturing Ops: Knowledge of line balancing, takt time, yield, OEE, value stream mapping.
- 4M & 5S Expertise: Hands-on familiarity with 4M audits, root cause analysis, Gemba walks.
- Lean / CI Methods: Kaizen, 8D, A3, SMED, TPM, Six Sigma.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and German.
