The size of our cloud platform is growing rapidly and is already planet-scale. Huawei Cloud is one of the largest and fastest-growing platforms worldwide, with a strong presence across over 40 availability zones in 23 geographical regions, including locations such as Germany, Hong Kong, South Africa, and Brazil.

We are looking for a (Senior/Principal) Research Engineer: Generative AI (m/f/d).

Your mission

• Conduct cutting-edge research in generative AI, including (but not limited to) text-to-image, sketch-to-image, image-to-3D model, and video generation.
• Develop and implement novel algorithms and models to push the boundaries of generative AI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate generative AI solutions into products and services.
• Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals.
• Mentor junior researchers and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Stay updated with the latest advances in AI and machine learning to drive continuous improvement.

Your areas of expertise

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or a related field, with focus on deep learning, computer vision, or generative models.
• Proven research excellence, demonstrated through publications in top-tier conferences and journals such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc.
• Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or other relevant languages.
• Experience with large-scale data processing and model training.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
