Overview

For our client, a Biotechnology company in the greater Düsseldorf area, we are currently looking for a Senior Engineer (m / w / d) Global Packaging.

Responsibilities

Your Task

As a Senior Global Packaging engineer, you will join the team as a Strategic Packaging Expert, where you will shape innovative solutions and lead our global operations packaging portfolio. Your tasks will include :

• Strategic Packaging Design : Lead definition of future packaging requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry norms. Oversee all projects necessary to meet these goals.
• Operations Alignment : Manage and evolve operations standard packaging materials menu, collaborating and bringing alignment within diverse, cross-functional teams, e.g in unique requirement situations
• Industry Expertise : Objectively assess relevant packaging industry options, collaborate with our Prototyping Team and stay ahead of market trends.
• Sustainability & Regulatory Goals : Identify optimization projects. Develop and implement global plans to achieve packaging KPIs, necessary to adhere to the future regulatory environment.
• Data Management : Defining what data needs to be collected by systems for regulatory reporting

Qualifications

• University degree in Packaging Technology (or equivalent)
• Years of experience in developing packaging solutions
• expertise in developing (corrugated) cardboard boxes & plastic bottles
• experience in defining and assessing suitability of shipment containers (ideally also with dry ice)
• knowledge of dangerous goods shipment requirements
• knows how to set up data systems (SAP based) for tracking global information on packaging materials
• knowledge of current & future regulatory environment
• fluent in Englisch, German is a plus
