Jobbeschreibung
Senior Market & Competitor Expert
A Snapshot of Your Day

Your day combines deep analysis, leadership engagement, and collaboration across regions and functions – helping to shape portfolio decisions, growth bets, and GT’s long-term strategic direction.

It begins with a catch-up call with the APAC Sales team. As the lead for the competition module in an APAC strategy project, you discuss emerging trends with sales colleagues and compile insights from recent customer meetings. You also align on upcoming analyses and deep dives.

Later in the morning, you join the regular team Jour Fixe with the Market & Competitor team to exchange updates and learn about ongoing topics across the group.

After lunch with colleagues, you present the status of the competitor module to the Business Area management team.

In the afternoon, you connect with the Governmental Affairs team to learn about upcoming regulations, which you incorporate into your market analysis.

In the evening, you head to the airport to attend a meeting for a potential partnership the next day. The day concludes with a short feedback call with your manager on your presentation to the management team.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Analyzing market and competitor developments and trends (e.g., in specific verticals, new businesses, portfolios) to derive strategic focus topics for the Business Area and clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Developing and executing strategies to promote GT products and solutions by identifying and prioritizing market activities.
  • Acting as a central connector between other Execution Units and Functions, such as Sales, Products, and Service, to ensure insights flow into concrete actions.
  • Driving or supporting strategic projects (e.g., strategy definition, cost reduction, competitor analysis, portfolio review, benchmarking) to shape the future of GT, including presenting results to management.
  • Consistently drive the use of AI tools and data-driven approaches to accelerate insights, improve quality and efficiency, and maximize internal customer value across GT.
What You Bring
  • University degree (Bachelor, Master, PhD) in any discipline—preferably in a technical field.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in managing strategy or business excellence projects with cross-functional and international teams, ideally in a management consulting environment.
  • Strong functional expertise in areas such as strategy definition, benchmarking, and market analysis.
  • Proven ability to structure complex tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously; experience in driving digitalization initiatives is a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading teams and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels in a large, global organization.
  • Fluency in English and German (written and spoken).
