A Berlin-based tech startup is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to join their Core Engineering team. This role focuses on enhancing both developer and user experiences by optimizing database performance and working on B2B SaaS applications. Applicants should have over 5 years of experience with compiled languages and strong knowledge in both Backend and Frontend technologies. Founded in Berlin, autarc is a ~40 person start‑up who were part of Y Combinator’s S24 batch in San Francisco. Our team consists of people in Sales, Tech and Operations, with the Engineering & Product department currently ~20 people, as we continue to grow throughout the year.
This role is to join our Core Engineering team, who are focused on improving both developer and user experience. This includes optimising database performance, working on the scalability of our app, honing in on quality assurance and working on integrating 3rd party SaaS.
You will be exposed to working on something 1‑10, as an early member in our journey. You’ll be continuously involved in decision‑making, as opposed to having narrow and machine‑like tasks in a larger organisation where you will need to contribute towards defining roadmaps and mentoring other members of squad.
Day‑to‑day work will consist of designing architecture and ensuring that as our customer base grows, the quality in the technology that we offer is not affected. You will be working with PDF rendering and on the integrations of third‑party APIs, with the expectation that you are someone capable of rapid prototyping.
This team is central to everything at autarc and influences wider Product squads.
