As a Business Continuity Manager (m/f/d), you will play a key role in shaping the resilience strategy of WEB.DE and GMX. You will design structures, processes, and measures to ensure our services remain available—even in critical situations.
- Develop and enhance the BCM system: You will design, implement, and continuously improve a company-wide Business Continuity Management System in accordance with ISO 22301—covering both technical and non-technical processes.
- Training and awareness: You will train colleagues across all departments and levels, fostering a strong awareness of business continuity—up to C-level.
- Risk and business impact analysis: You will regularly conduct analyses to identify potential threats and propose cost-effective risk mitigation measures, ensuring their implementation.
- Emergency planning and crisis management: You will create contingency plans to maintain business operations during incidents such as cyberattacks or other planned and unplanned disruptions.
- Coordination of emergency drills: You will plan and lead cross-functional crisis simulations, ensure transparent reporting of results, and follow up on the implementation of lessons learned.
Your profile
Are you a strong communicator who can build a resilient, company-wide network in a short time? Do you effortlessly engage with everyone from junior engineers to board members on equal footing? Do you have hands-on experience implementing business continuity in agile environments? Then we’d love to hear from you!
- Professional background: You hold a degree in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification and have played a key role in establishing a BCM system in an agile, digital company.
- Holistic process understanding: You are familiar with business operations, regulatory requirements, and security risks in large digital organizations. Certifications such as CBCP are a plus.
- Technical expertise: You have a strong technical foundation and can advise product teams effectively - ideally with hands-on experience in distributed IT infrastructures (e.g., as a site reliability engineer, architect, or security engineer).
- Change and problem-solving skills: You navigate complex corporate environments with ease, quickly identify critical issues, and develop effective solutions under pressure.
- Communication skills: You communicate clearly and appropriately for all audiences - from engineers to executives - and are fluent in both German and English (C1 level).
