Security Architect - Remote/Germany - Up to €90k DOE
I am hiring a Security Architect on behalf of a forward-thinking cybersecurity and technology consultancy, trusted by multinational enterprises to secure their digital assets, align technology with business strategy, and navigate an evolving regulatory landscape. Our mission is to enable secure, compliant, and innovative business operations across industries, combining deep technical expertise with strategic advisory.
This role is remote from anywhere in Germany.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide cybersecurity programs including ISMS, GRC, risk management, compliance, and security awareness initiatives aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, NIS2, DORA, and the EU AI Act.
- Design and implement secure cloud architectures and AI-enabled systems, ensuring robust protection, automation, and operational efficiency in hybrid and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Advise executive leadership and C‑Suite stakeholders on cybersecurity strategy, risk posture, regulatory compliance, and emerging threats, providing actionable insights and executive reporting.
- Drive pre‑sales and technical consulting initiatives, translating customer requirements into secure solutions, supporting product adoption, and shaping enterprise offerings.
- Mentor and lead technical teams, fostering a culture of security awareness, innovation, and cross‑functional collaboration across engineering, cloud, and security operations teams.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, information security governance, and enterprise risk management, with hands‑on technical knowledge in cloud, software security, and automation.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, NIS2, DORA, and the EU AI Act.
- Technical expertise across cloud architectures (Azure preferred), AI governance, software security, security automation, and incident response.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of bridging the gap between technical teams and executive stakeholders.
- Minimum C1 level German or above with a good knowledge of English.
Desirable
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementor.
