Photonics is one of the most dynamic areas of applied research. Thanks to its many years of technological experience, Fraunhofer HHI is a global leader in integrated optoelectronic components. In addition to optical data transmission, our technologies are becoming increasingly important in sensor technology, analytics, quantum communication, and quantum information processing. We are working on the challenges of hybrid integration of photonic functionalities based on modern material systems such as polymers, silicon nitride, and lithium niobate. The position is initially limited to 2 years. An extension is explicitly desired.
The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part‑time basis.
