Your role

You will be a member of the Payroll Crew within Group HR Technology, which is automating and simplifying HR services along the employee lifecycle, from onboarding, vetting, international mobility, payroll to exit process, leveraging state-of-the-art technology solutions.


We’re looking for an engineer to:



  • design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our internal clients and employees.

  • apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment.

  • ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements.

  • build observability into our solutions to monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues.

  • continuously up-skill, learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind.


Your team

You’ll be working in an agile and autonomous team in the Group Operations & Technology Office (GOTO) in Krakow with the option to work from home for up to two days per week.

Your expertise

We are looking for a skilled SAP engineer with deep functional expertise in SAP HCM modules, particularly Personnel Administration and Payroll Accounting. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, agile environment and is passionate about delivering secure, scalable, and high‑performing solutions.


Must have skills:


These are essential for success in the role:



  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in SAP development, preferably within SAP HCM (Personnel Administration and Payroll Accounting - SAP Modules PA and PY)

  • Strong experience in SAP Customization: Infotypes, Wage Types, Schema, Rules, Features

  • Hands‑on knowledge of SAP Payroll: tables, structures, programs, messages, views, transactions, and function groups

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Experience working in Agile methodology as part of a Scrum team

  • Academic degree - a must have


Should‑Have Skills:


Highly desirable and will enhance performance:



  • Familiarity with ABAP Workbench development but must want to deepen these skills.

  • SQL programming skills

  • Understanding of legal and taxation rules impacting payroll

  • Experience in designing, developing, testing, and implementing new functionality

  • Familiarity with SDLC standards, methods, techniques, and templates


Could‑Have Skills:


Beneficial but not essential:



  • Ability to produce secure, clean, stable, and well‑performing code

  • Ability to build APIs and system integrations

  • Experience with Data Dictionaries, Reports, and Forms

  • Exposure to cross‑functional HR or finance systems

  • Experience with international payroll systems
