OVERVIEW:

The legal team is an internal service unit that supports Sportradar's fast growth by ensuring a solid and secure foundation. It includes several divisions to ensure integrity and trust are met and exceeded, including Corporate & Employment Law, Privacy, Litigation, Compliance & Risk, Commercial Sales Legal, and Sports Partnership Legal.

For the Sports Partnership Legal sub-unit, we are looking for a talented, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Paralegal to serve Sportradar’s Rights & Sports Partnership division by providing legal support and reviewing/administering standard legal documents (such as NDAs, MoUs, Termination Agreements, Amendments, Term Sheets, etc.) on a global basis for the entire Sportradar Group. The Paralegal will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of our licensing activities and their implementation in client agreements.

The Paralegal will work as part of an experienced and international legal team, acting as an interface between regional and product teams, the commercial Rights & Partnership unit, and the legal department to ensure consistent legal project support and maintenance of contractual standards, e.g., for the scope of commercial rights.

THE CHALLENGE:

• Contract Management & Support:
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial agreements and legal documents (NDAs, MoUs, Term Sheets, Termination Agreements, Amendments, etc.)
  • Manage the lifecycle of contracts from inception to execution and renewal, ensuring documentation is maintained and accessible
  • Conduct initial reviews of contractual terms, identifying key clauses, obligations, and risks
• Provide legal support in sports rights holders’ tender processes
• Conduct legal research related to IP, media law, and relevant regulatory frameworks
• Litigation & Dispute Resolution Support:
  • Organize and manage documents for disputes or litigation
  • Assist in preparing legal correspondence and responses
• Administrative Tasks:
  • Maintain legal files, databases, and document management systems
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, draft minutes for legal discussions
  • Handle general administrative tasks for the legal department

YOUR PROFILE:

• Bachelor’s degree in law, Paralegal studies, or similar
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with commercial contracts, preferably in a corporate legal setting
• Solid understanding of contract law and commercial legal principles; familiarity with media law and sports betting regulations is a plus
• Experience with contract management software and legal research databases is advantageous
• Excellent English communication skills; German fluency is a plus
• High attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Understanding of the sports and sports betting ecosystem, including legal, political, and economic aspects
• Knowledge of data and audiovisual content commercialization is desirable
• Diligent, responsible, and collaborative attitude
• Positive, diplomatic, approachable
