A leading company in the beverage sector seeks to hire a senior leader to drive the implementation and scaling of returnable beverage strategies. This role requires extensive experience in the German market and a proven track record of successful commercial strategies. The successful candidate will manage key customer relationships and lead a high-performing team while working in a collaborative environment to ensure the success of the Mehrweg portfolio.
1. Lead the successful implementation and scaling of the returnable beverage pilot in LEH and GAM channels, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational readiness.→ Accountable for: Executing actions→ Impacted groups: Sales, Supply Chain, Radeberger, Retail Partners,2. Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for returnable beverages, including transitioning customer responsibilities and evolving the operating model.→ Accountable for: Making decisions→ Impacted groups: Commercial Strategy, Marketing, Sales Leadership3. Build, manage, lead and own a strong network of customer in the GFGH & GAM channel, acting as a strategic influencer and advocate for PepsiCo's Mehrweg portfolio.→ Accountable for: Providing consultation→ Impacted groups: Radeberger, GFGH/GFM partners, External Distributors4. Collaborate closely with Bottler Radeberger to jointly manage customer relationships and drive market penetration, including shared customer visits and activation planning.→ Accountable for: Executing actions→ Impacted groups: Radeberger Sales Teams, Field Sales, Trade Marketing5. Support the development of a scalable success model with Getränke Hoffmann and Rewe and respective GFGHs, including pilot validation and structured national rollout.→ Accountable for: Executing actions→ Impacted groups: OT KAM, AFH KAM, Radeberger, Partner Management, Sales Ops6. Coach and enable PepsiCo's retail sales force (field) and OT KAM teams to build internal capabilities for managing the returnable beverage business.→ Accountable for: Providing consultation→ Impacted groups: RSF, OT KAM, Bottler Radeberger7. Act as a strategic advisor to the GM and sales leadership team of PepsiCo DE, contributing to the long-term roadmap and transformation.
• Min. 10 years of commercial experience in the German Beverage industry• Min 5 years of relevant commercial experience with Returnable Wholesaler (GFGH channel) and/or Beverage stores (GAM channel)• Existing customer network to key decision makers of top retailer of German GFGH and/or GAM channel• Proven track record in leading commercial trade strategies for Returnable beverages (Mehrweg) in Germany• Strong commercial acumen e.g. experience of managing a P&L• Strong Leadership and People Management Skills to lead commercial talents with clarity, empathy, and strategic direction. Experienced in coaching and talent development, fostering high-performing teams, and driving engagement in dynamic environments.• Ability to collaborate and influence using sound evidence and business focus• High internal / external credibility and seniority to make things happen• Analytical & problem solving skills - create robust analysis & meaningful insights to drive actions & highlight opps• Have solid matrix leadership skills to motivate a wide ranging audience & clearly manage execution
