A leading brain training platform in Berlin is seeking an experienced Manual QA Tester. You will work closely with backend developers ensuring the quality and reliability of applications, focusing on backend systems and API testing. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Manual QA Tester to provide ongoing support for our software products. In this role, you’ll play an integral part in our development process, working closely with the backend team to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of our applications.
This is a part-time to full-time position (minimum 30 hours per week), with the opportunity to take ownership of backend QA direction after the onboarding period.
Collaborate with backend developers and the product manager to create and execute weekly sprint plans.
Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions, offering insights on product quality.
Conduct comprehensive manual testing on both frontend and backend components, with a primary focus on backend systems.
Test and analyze APIs directly, ensuring seamless integration with the rest of the system.
Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot issues, distinguishing between client-side and server-side problems.
Manage and complete testing tickets promptly within each sprint cycle.
Proactively contribute ideas and generate new tickets to enhance product quality
Proven experience in manual QA testing, with a strong emphasis on backend and API testing.
Proficiency in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, or similar).
Ability to clearly identify, document, and communicate bugs.
Strong analytical skills to differentiate between frontend and backend issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Availability to work between 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM CET on weekdays.
Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Experience with payment testing.
Experience with mobile app testing.
