Jobbeschreibung

The Oaks at South Park Apartments is looking for a service-minded maintenance professional to undertake the responsibility of upgrading & preserving the good condition and functionality of our 152 unit residential apartment community. Background in the apartment industry along with general maintenance experience is required. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Compensation package includes 50% rent discount for onsite apartment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare units for occupancy.
• Complete make ready work and general work orders.
• Walk the property to inspect for any exterior issues & report to the property manager.
• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.).
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.).
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g., landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.) and pool maintenance.
• Handle tasks with a pleasant and professional demeanor.
• Oversee contractors' work on the property with direction from the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Complete daily paperwork.
• On-call responsibilities as assigned by the property manager.

Skills:

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, etc.
• Knowledge of general maintenance duties.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Good physical condition and strength.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Salary: $23 per hour
