Job Description – Key Account Manager (VW OES, Volvo & Aumovio Coordination)

Position: Key Account Manager (KAM)
Reports to: Sales Director Europe
Location: Frankfurt or Hamburg, Germany

Role Purpose

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and developing the business with Volkswagen OES and Volvo, while coordinating activities with Aumovio. Reporting directly to the Sales Director Europe, the KAM will play a key role in strengthening customer relationships, driving profitable growth, and ensuring alignment between customer expectations and internal functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for Volkswagen OES and Volvo, managing all commercial and strategic activities.
  • Lead customer negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and business agreements, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
  • Coordinate with Aumovio to align project execution, customer support, and timelines.
  • Develop and implement account strategies to expand business opportunities and reinforce long‑term partnerships with VW OES and Volvo.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and customer trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with internal functions (engineering, operations, program management, quality, finance) to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver regular account reviews, forecasts, and performance reports to the Sales Director Europe.
  • Promote initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen Tenneco’s positioning as a strategic partner.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5–7 years of experience in Key Account Management, ideally in the automotive sector.
  • Solid knowledge of OEM automotive customer structures and processes.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience in coordinating cross‑functional teams and managing complex projects.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; German is a strong advantage.
  • Based in Frankfurt or Hamburg with willingness to travel across Europe.
