Our AI Development department serves as a facilitator for Data & AI transformation. We are taking a holistic approach, from the initial evaluation of AI maturity, through the design and development of data and AI solutions, to the practical implementation and scaling of AI solutions. Through our deep expertise in Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, we ensure that our clients gain the maximum value from their data.
Your tasks
- As a (Junior) Consultant, you will support our project teams in delivering data science projects for major clients, with a focus on time-series data such as forecasting, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection
- You will contribute to the design and implementation of time-series models, ranging from traditional statistical approaches (e.g., ARIMA) to modern machine learning techniques (e.g., gradient boosting, deep learning)
- You will help build and implement ML pipelines, learning best practices for maintainable and scalable solutions
- You will collaborate closely with experienced consultants and developers, gaining exposure to different use cases such as demand forecasting in supply chains, predictive maintenance on sensor data, or multi-horizon forecasting
- You will be involved in the preparation and presentation of results to business stakeholders, with guidance from senior colleagues
- You will continuously develop your technical and consulting skills through hands-on project work, mentoring, and structured learning
Your profile
- You hold a degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- You have first practical experience in data science, ideally through internships, working student roles, or 1–3 years of full-time work in a relevant environment
- You bring very good knowledge of Python for data analysis and model development
- You have first experience with time-series (ARIMA/ETS/Prophet) or ML/DL forecasting (LightGBM, LSTM), and interest in newer methods (N-HiTS/N-BEATSx, TFT) and foundation models (Moirai, TinyTimeMixers, TiRex)
- You are motivated to deepen your expertise in forecasting, anomaly detection, and time-series modeling, and to learn about advanced methods such as transformer models and hierarchical forecasting
- Ideally, you have had first exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and/or deployment of models into production environments
- You are a strong communicator and possess very good German and English skills (at least C1 level), as you will work with both German-speaking and international clients
- You are curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a consulting environment, occasional business trips to clients in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are part of the role
