Our customer is market leader in it’s area in Germany with much more than 10 million monthly visits and in depth search functions on it’s webpage. The company provides the highest reach within its competitive environment in Germany. The company needs an experienced and creative professional to develop tools to support the development and refinement of ontological resources for semantic search. The team is split across offices in Brussels, Berlin, London and Munich, so you will work in an international environment with a team of experienced and open minded colleagues. We are currently lookingto fill the following position in Munich : Java Web Developer (m / f) in Munich

The post :

The duties and responsibilities of the position include the following :

• Tools development in order to improve the process of doing semantic searches.
• Analyze user needs and design new tools.
• Write scalable and easy-to-read code.
• Improve company solutions by modifying and offering clean and maintainable code.
• Work, share ideas and knowledge with team members and other different teams.

Requirements

The Requirements: The successful candidate will fulfill the following requirements :

• Deep knowledge of Java language and experience in developing tools.
• Knowledge of databases such as SQL and NoSQL and large dataset processing.
• Experience using Linux systems administration would be a plus.
• Computational linguistics experience would be desired.
• Knowledge of Git and strong scripting abilities.
• Knowledge of SEO and search engine related technologies (indexes, lucene, solr and the like)
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Ability to speak other languages such as German, French and / or Dutch is a plus.
