Your responsibilities

1. Own, design, and maintain the CI & Asset inventory and CMDB to ensure transparency about the type, ownership, and health status of all IT assets connected to RWE's network.
2. Develop a Configuration & Asset model, identify which CIs need to be managed, and determine the level of detail for identification. Design and build the CMDB considering the full lifecycle of assets and configuration items.
3. Act as an architect to design CMDB structures, table interactions, data flows, data policies, data dependencies/relations, and service mapping with the implementation teams, forming the foundation for the IT value chain and ITIL processes.
4. Own and improve the Configuration & Asset Management processes and provide governance to all stakeholders in IT and business, including technical assessment of requirements.
5. Enable stakeholders to make informed decisions, proactively manage risks, and improve service resilience, including cybersecurity, through the CMDB.
6. Collaborate closely with internal and external IT service providers to ensure they have effective Configuration & Asset management processes that guarantee transparency of all assets connected to RWE's network.
7. Engage with stakeholders and strategic projects to ensure Configuration & Asset Management delivers the required data quality and functionality within set timeframes.
8. Oversee and own the design, coding, and testing of reporting capabilities as needed.

Your profile

• Very good ITIL knowledge and extensive experience in Configuration & Asset Management.
• Experience managing ServiceNow CMDB and IT-Operation Management (ITOM) structures.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including Software, Hardware, and Cloud, and experience with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
• Relevant IT apprenticeship with several years of experience in IT Service Management.
• Ability to understand and analyze complex issues and communicate them effectively to target groups.
• Responsible, careful, structured, and independent work style with openness to change.
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and team orientation.
• Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
