HPE Hybrid Cloud Sales Specialist - Public & Defense (m/w/d). This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Overview

We are looking for a Senior HPE Hybrid Cloud Solutions Sales Specialist to drive strategic sales engagements with large Public and Defense customers. The Sales Specialist will collaborate with and support Account Managers and provide expertise within the sales team. They will also drive proactive pipeline building campaigns and use their expertise and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities.

HPE Hybrid Cloud Solutions is our innovating IT services and solutions business unit. We offer the complete HPE portfolio as a Service, with GreenLake Cloud providing a scalable cloud experience for enterprise-grade IT environments.

Responsibilities
  • Generate new business to increase HPE’s market share for hybrid cloud solutions focusing on named public and defense accounts.
  • Develop and sell hybrid cloud solutions to those customers on a partnership basis.
  • Develop new projects and solution opportunities to build a short- and long-term sales pipeline.
  • Establish a professional working and consultative relationship with the client, including the C-suite.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the client’s business, organizational structure and future challenges to define and adapt a solution roadmap to fulfil business needs.
  • Interface with internal and external/industry experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solution development.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors in account to strategically position the company’s solutions.
  • Drive large-scale hybrid cloud projects for large public and defense customers, ensuring seamless integration between on-prem and public cloud environments.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, translating business objectives into customized hybrid cloud solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Academic degree in an economic or technical field of study.
  • Extensive selling experience within the public segment or defense industry and on similar solutions.
  • Typically, > 10 years of advanced sales experience.
  • Profound knowledge of the IT cloud market and proven experience in IT support, operational, managed, and technical service.
  • High winning attitude and closing skills - recognize new opportunities, generate new business and close the deal.
  • Skilled in collaboration and leading with other sales teams.
  • Reliability in building a sales pipeline, forecasting and customer management (sales excellence).
  • Distinctive customer orientation and consulting skills combined with assertiveness, mentality to challenge a customer’s status quo.
  • Excellent ability to drive and manage complex cloud transformation projects for enterprise customers, ensuring strategic alignment and successful execution.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, combined with very expert technology skills.
  • Team and goal-oriented work; creativity, initiative and reliability.
  • Business fluency in German and English.
