As a key member of Geely’s European business team, you will lead our Germany subsidiary’s sales organization to drive market penetration, dealer network expansion, and sustainable revenue growth. About the Role
Core Value Proposition: Lead Geely’s sales strategy in one of Europe’s most critical automotive markets, aligning global brand goals with local market demands. You will be responsible for achieving ambitious sales targets, building long-term partnerships, and establishing Geely as a trusted player in the German automotive ecosystem—while upholding the highest standards of compliance and customer-centricity.
Responsibilities
Market Strategy & Intelligence (Germany-Focused)
- Conduct in-depth analysis of the German automotive market (passenger cars, EVs, and mobility trends), customer preferences (e.g., premium expectations, sustainability demands), and competitive dynamics (local OEMs, international brands, new mobility players).
- Benchmark competitor sales strategies, pricing models, and channel tactics to identify untapped opportunities and mitigate market risks.
- Develop localized sales strategies aligned with Geely’s global vision (e.g., EV transition, intelligent mobility) to enhance market share and brand visibility.
Dealer Network & Partnership Development
- Build, recruit, and manage a high-performance dealer network across Germany, ensuring coverage in key regions (e.g., Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg).
- Foster strategic partnerships with local stakeholders: government bodies (for policy compliance, EV incentives), automotive associations, and business partners (e.g., fleet operators, charging network providers).
- Optimize channel efficiency through regular dealer training, performance monitoring, and resource allocation (e.g., inventory management, marketing support).
Business Planning & Target Achievement
- Define annual/monthly sales targets (volume, revenue, profit margin) and develop actionable execution plans to meet or exceed KPIs.
- Design localized pricing, promotion, and after-sales policies that resonate with German customers (e.g., emphasis on quality, service reliability, sustainability).
- Balance short-term sales results with long-term brand equity—integrating Geely’s EV product lineup and technological advantages into local sales narratives.
Operational Excellence & Supply Chain Coordination
- Oversee end-to-end sales operations: supply chain alignment (with European logistics teams), inventory optimization, and dealer operational supervision to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Drive continuous improvement in sales processes (e.g., lead management, customer onboarding) and after-sales service quality to enhance customer retention.
Customer Satisfaction & Brand Advocacy
- Lead NPS and customer feedback initiatives, ensuring prompt resolution of complaints and proactive addressing of German customers’ high service expectations.
- Act as Geely’s brand ambassador in Germany, representing the company at industry events (e.g., IAA Mobility) and promoting Geely’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and safety.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the local sales team, fostering a results-driven, collaborative culture aligned with Geely’s values.
- Recruit and develop high-potential talent, setting clear performance expectations and providing ongoing coaching to build a resilient sales organization.
- Collaborate closely with global teams (marketing, product, finance) to ensure alignment between local execution and global strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, Automotive Engineering, or related fields; MBA is a plus.
Required Skills
- Minimum 7 years of automotive sales leadership experience in Germany (preferably with passenger cars or EVs), including proven experience managing dealer networks and achieving sales targets in the German market.
- Prior experience with multinational automotive brands (OEMs) or leading dealer groups in Germany is highly preferred; familiarity with Chinese automotive brands’ international expansion is a strong advantage.
- Track record of driving market penetration for new products (e.g., EVs) or entering new market segments in Germany.
